 Program Director - ACT medicare Local
Position description

As part of the Medicare Local’s Senior Management Team, and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Program Director leads a small team of Program Officers and contributes to policy and strategic outcomes of the organisation. The responsibilities for this position include:

  • applying significant judgement in planning, policy and program development and initiating/managing change within the organisation;

  • contributing to the strategic and operational effectiveness of the Medicare Local including as part of the senior management team work towards developing, implementing and monitoring of the ACTML Strategic and Business plans;

  • Maintaining and providing a high level understanding, knowledge and expertise in the ACT’s Health Sector and its role in delivering the National Health Reform Agenda;

  • Fostering collaboration and partnerships with significant stakeholders to the development of Medicare Locals including the Board, Medicare Local staff and membership, primary care service providers and organisations.

  • Contributing to the business development activities of the Medicare Local

Position hours Full Time
Salary Range Base salary negotiable from $91K
