The Health Protection Service (HPS) has been notified of a case of hepatitis A in a person from Lyneham High School. This person prepared food items for the school canteen while they were unknowingly infectious, and therefore it is possible they
may have transmitted the infection to staff and students.
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with information about hepatitis A and the planned public health response to this case.
