As part of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, OvCan (ACT & Region) – a local ovarian cancer awareness-raising and support group – is hosting an information session for health professionals in Canberra.
Speakers
Gynaecological oncologist, Dr Robyn Sayer, will present on ovarian cancer, current thinking and treatment, and progress towards the development of an early detection test.
Ms Jane Francis, National Gynaecological Cancer Centre, will present on the Centre’s research, education and information priorities for improving the outcome for women with gynaecological cancers (in particular, ovarian cancer).
Ms Lorraine Stevens will describe her experience of being diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and the path it has taken her on.
