Influenza Vaccination 2012

The commencement date for the National Immunisation Program (NIP) seasonal influenza vaccination program is 15 March. Influenza vaccine will be delivered to your practice prior to this date.

The seasonal influenza vaccine is available free under the NIP for:

  • People 65 years of age and over,
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 15 years of age and over,
  • Pregnant women,
  • Anyone over six months of age with underlying medical conditions which predispose them to the risk of complications from influenza.
